BPSJA announces two British riders chosen to represent GBR in Tremblay en France at the beginning of May. They are Ben Carr, and Justine Bowers, this is the first time they will have ridden for GBR as individuals, both will be riding hired horses. Good luck to you all.

Chevillon 2008

Five riders have been chosen to go to Chevillon France this year, heading the team this year as Team Captain is Emily Lawes, who won her class here last year.

Also competing  are Karen Bostock who was placed third last year at Chevillon, Alison Betteley who came fifth in Bordeaux this year, Ben Carr (part of our Junior team) who won both his classes at Chateau Bleu Paris, and finally Rachel Maddox, who is making her debut appearance. This year Andy is going as Team Manager and as always Jasmine is our team Mascot.

UK International to be held on 15th, 16th & 17th August

 

The UK's only International for physically disabled people to be held at Woodredon Equestrian Centre, http://woodredonridingclub.co.uk/

 

Entries are already coming in for what is going to be the best ever Para Show jumping Event of 2008. Held over three days 15th -17th August. It promises to be the most exciting Para show on the UK calendar. Already with four nations booked! Riders from France, Canada, Ireland and the UK. Woodredon EC Invites BPSJA to perform demonstration at National Riding Festival

 

The Petplan Equine National Riding Festival 2008 plans to encourage more people horse riding; whether they are new to the sport or simply have not ridden for a while. Members of BPSJA have been Invited to perform a Jumping Demonstration at Woodredon EC on 20th July and are looking for a maximum of six riders to take part. Contact andy@bpsja.co.uk

BSJA - Area 42 Incorporates Para Show Jumping Classes

 

Saturday June 28th, BSJA Area 42 Show is incorporating Para Show Jumping for the first time, the show will be held at Wiltshire College - Lackham, Lacock, Chippenham, Wiltshire. Link to website http://www.bsja-area42.co.uk .

 

There will be Para sections in classes 1, 2 and 5. Rosettes sponsored by Annie Bevins Vet and prizes in kind sponsored by White Hall Garden Centre, Henry Cole Ltd Feed Merchants and Pointings Saddlery.

 

Members of the BSJA on registered eligible horses can compete in both sections, non members and those whose horse is out of class will be in the Para section. Non members of the BSJA must purchase day tickets at £6 Each.

 

Bexhill Horse Show

The Bexhill Horse Show committee is planning to offer classes for Para Show jumpers from the BPSJA in 2009


The show is one of the oldest-established sporting events in the town, with a history dating back to 1903.
The equestrian action starts at 9am. The day includes show jumping, driving, showing classes and a dog show plus trade stands, and children's activities, a fun day for all the Family.
 

Classes in Ring One include Local Jumping; Derby House, the Senior British Novice Championship first round; Equissage Discovery; Private Driving and Show Drive; Small Open; Petplan Equine Newcomers and the Sussex Area A and BC Handicap Championship.

Ring Two will include Working Hunter Pony; Working Hunter; Riding Horse; Riding Club Pony; Riding Club Horse and Unaffiliated

Novice Jumping classes.

Ring 3 events include Best Condition and Turnout; Lead Rein Pony; First Ridden; Best Rider 12 Years and Under; Best Rider Over 12 Years; Family Pony; In Hand Small Mountain And Moorland; In Hand Large Mountain And Moorland; Heavy Horse / Cob Type; Ridden Mountain And Moorland; Mountain And Moorland Championship; Ridden Coloured Horse/Pony and Veteran.
