UK's International to be held at David Broomes 'The Showground at Chepstow , Monmouthshire.

Entries are already coming in for what is going to be the best ever Para Show jumping Event of 2008. Held over three days 15th -17th August.

BPSJA Announces three riders going to Le Tremblay en France France 3/4th May 2008

Two British riders have been chosen to represent GBR in Tremblay en France at the beginning of May. They are Ben Carr, and Justine Bowers, this is the first time they will have ridden for GBR as individuals, both will be riding hired horses. Good luck to you all.

British Para Show Jumpers at Bordeaux 2008

Louise Hacker (Team Captain)

Louise is our most experienced rider, this will be Louise's third time at Bordeaux, previously Louise borrowed a horse but this year she is bringing her own. Louise rides as a Grade IV and will be jumping 1.1 M.

Emily Lawes

This will also be Emily's third year, September last year she won her class in Chevillon, France. Emily will be borrowing a horse as her horse Ulysees is not ready for this type of competition yet. Emily is a Grade IV and was born with only one arm.

 

 

Toby Bevins

Toby was our star in 2007  when he came third at Bordeaux on a borrowed horse, this year 2008 Toby rode his own horse but was un placed, Toby is a Grade III and will be jumping 1.1 M.

 

Alison Betteley

Alison is new to Para Show Jumping and is her first time at Bordeaux, she will be borrowing a horse, Alison will be jumping 90 cm and is a Grade III she is a double below knee amputee

 

 

Justine Bowers

Justine on her debut ride for GBR as an Individual had an excellent show at Chateau Bleu 2008. On both days she gained 3rd place. Justine is a grade IV Para Show Jumping  Rider. Justine also competes locally with able bodied riders.

 

Ben Carr

Ben on his debut ride for GBR as an Individual had an excellent show at Chateau Bleu 2008. On both days he gained 1st place and was crowned overall champion of the event.

 

 

 

Duncan Cook (Canada)

Duncan is our first rider from Canada, who has been waiting a long time for this opportunity !    Duncan took up riding as an adult, after back injury forced him to give up the game of hockey.  Duncan competes locally in 0.90m Hunter and Jumper events and is looking forward to his first ever Para competition. We all look forward to sharing a few beers with you.

 

 

Susi Rogers-Hartley

Susi was injured falling from an assault course ten years ago and is paralysed from the waist down. In the picture is Lex my helper dog who helps me with awkward chores around the house, stable and when I'm out riding.
